Guest guest
1) October 30 potluck is off! Sorry for the confusion with the calender reminder. :-( I will have roommates moving and cannot manage both at the same time. I need to find a different weekend to hold regular potlucks, just for this reason. Any suggestions? I will coordinate with Sandra, our other " regular " potluck hostess. 2) I drove to Eric/Shakti/Orion's place this evening for 5pm potluck (arriving around 6pm)and found nobody home. There was no answer when I called before 5 either. Was the event held someplace else? I was disappointed to not find the address on the rawseattle listing. :-( So I came home and ate my salad. It was yummy. 3) So..Jeff and Shari (Viger or Vigor?) will be doing a gig in Bellevue? Fabulous. Is that you Shari Viger...from Everett? I just want to make sure it's you. :-) 4) I've been 'hiding out' a bit and look forward to seeing you all soon. I've been 'without potluck' for two whole months now! Sheesh! I have some potential news. Yesterday, (Sat.) I fell in LOVE with a 10 acre spot on Vashon Island that would be PERFECT for holding retreats, events, and camp-outs. The owner really wants to see the place be used. The meadows and pasture is exquisite. You can see two wooden seats inviting you from a distance. As you walk to the top of that ridge, you look down at two more inviting chairs near a built-in fire pit. Further, you see a sweet little pond with a small dock and a single wooden folding chair sitting on it. Contempletative. Beyond that is a hammock between trees. Further, there is a gate leading to a bridge over a stream, leading to hiking trails up into the woods. Total heaven! Oh! The house has a small sparking swimming pool between the main house and the barn converted to living space with two lofts. The main house has industrial type kitchen, perfect for those raw food prep classes. The living room is huge, and could probably seat 17 or more people PLUS the window seats along two floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pasture...fireplace.. patios, garden, oh yea. back to the house. There's a large dining area, library, 1 3/4 bath....3 bedrooms. Totally furnished in antiques. She's an architect/artsy type...very nice woman. If you have any ideas on how to make this place a viable money-making community, please let me know and we can discuss further. I'm very tempted to move there! I was thinking the barn/lofts could be used for sleeping accomodations for weekend retreats, dorm-style. In the summer, there's always camping. If you know anybody who would love a beautiful location to hold their events, let me know too. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
I think in an earlier post Shakti had called off today's event because of lack of interest. The place you are describing sounds like my dream house too! I do hope some use can be made of it in a group setting. The country is so restful and inspiring. Guest guest
Hi Linda! Sorry we were unreachable yesterday. We called off the class and potluck and had we been more on top of it we would have posted more clearly to the . All three of us have had lots going on and decided to postpone our gathering one week later so that we can all put our hearts into it. We look forward to a fun time on Halloween. Many Blessings!
