Guest guest
There is a book 'One hundred over 100' you can get in library, this is 100 stories about people who reached the age 100. I have learned some American history through those stories. There is no a single vegan though. They eat all sorts of food. Some of them emigrants and eat type of food they used to eat in their home country. For example on page 107, two Italian, she is 100 and he is 102. They eat spaghetti with meatballs every day. You would say that this is a very bad combination, protein and starch in edition it's all cooked, yet it doesn't harm them, they both are at home, not in a nursing home, and not in wheelchairs. She is saying the real secret is garlic and slo-o-o-o-w cooking. And she is saying old Italian never die, they just pasta away :-) M <milarepa wrote: Scary, isn't it? I'm Italian and I can relate although most of my older relatives had all kinds of diseases and both my parents ended up with diabetes and heart problems.
