Guest guest
Hi, everyone. I'm pretty new to this group - been here a few days, at most - but I have to say I'm really glad I found this group. I've really enjoyed the conversations, and I'm already learning so much! There's so much to know and figure out in this process, isn't there? I started off my new year (a couple days late) using Harvey & Marilyn Diamond's " Fit for Life " program, and so far so good. Since Monday, I've lost 8 pounds! Even this soon in the program, I'm waking up energized, ready to jump out of bed and get on with my exercises, and I have great energy throughout the day. One thing I am noticing - and sadly, I'm finding it highly annoying - is that people around me drag themselves around in the morning; the people I live with, the people I work with, everyone seems to literally be forcing themselves to put one foot in front of the other. Sometimes it seems they even deliberately exagerate the problem. Surely they can't all be this zombie-like? I find myself having very little patience for this zombie act in the mornings. Okay, I grant you, this is an attitude problem, rather than a problem associated with diet, but I was wondering if anyone else noticed the seemingly extreme differences in energy levels between yourself and others, and got this annoyed with it? And if so, could you share your experiences with me, maybe give me some ideas on how to let go of that annoyance? I'd really appreciate hearing from some of you!! Thanks, Carolyn It is said that the Devil has all the best tunes. This is broadly true. Guest guest
I know what you mean; I think our culture encourages a negativity that seems to pervade everything, but at the same time, I think we need to try to develop compassion for each other, especially as we find healing and health through a different way of life. I know that I used to be one of those zombies, and that the way I ate and lived definitely had an impact on how I saw the world. Now that things have changed for me, I think I have to be careful not to judge others; I really don't know the specific things that may be feeding their attitudes, and it really doesn't help them for me to be annoyed with them. All I can do is offer my own experience to them if they are interested, and if not, live and let live. One thing that can help is simply trying to put yourself in places with others of better energy as much as is possible. We can't always avoid negativity, but we can lessen our exposure to it. Peace, and welcome to the group! Valerie Siviax3 <siviax3 wrote: Hi, everyone. I'm pretty new to this group - been here a few days, at most - but I have to say I'm really glad I found this group. Guest guest
Hi Carolyn, I've lost a lot of pounds the past couple of weeks too. I'm not too energized yet, still sleeping in a little bit, but not as much as when I wasn't raw. The last time I got raw, I remember after a couple of weeks or so of getting up earlier. Humans are naturally that way on the cooked diet, dragging themselves around. They don't notice it about themselves so it's not an issue for them. I don't like the look of aging " death " in most people I see and most people seem very obtuse when it comes to new ideas. Especially if I say, go into the city and walk around, the aura of the march to death that most people project is sad and annoying to look at. I guess I see it more clearly when I'm not I'm not trapped so much in that unconscious haze myself. Patience will grow for you I suppose, as it does for all of us. I don't think there's any way to let go of the annoyance completely, it's a growth of love and compassion for our fellow man that we all have to grow. The stronger I am in my own practices and the more peaceful I am about it, the easier I can let others be who they are in my perceived deficient ways, and just try to help in any way that I can or that others will let me.
