Guest guest
After reading the posts in several of my health groups about the use of electromagnetic devices, I thought it time to talk about what I am seeing and hearing about achieving health. Now, I do not discount the placebo effect of the mind in self healing. It can be one of our best tools in our efforts to regain control of our lives and health. However, using electromagnetism on the human body without very careful research by someone who actually has the knowledge to use it safely is VERY DANGEROUS. Folks have died from MRI's. The people using them are extremely trained, but those magnets can pull out pins and move all types of metal implants such as cavity fillings and heaven help you if you have something like metal fragments in your body. One case I worked on was a man who had extensive surgeries to remove tiny metal filings in his eye. To the naked eye, and even under a microscope, his eye seems clean. But the MRI pulled microscopic pieces through his brain and killed him before they could get the machine turned off. (I did the grief counseling on his teenage daughter.) The same theory that allows magnets to heal us, also should clearly state just how much damage even small magnets can go when used wrongly. There are side effects to many things, and mixing them without research is not a wise decision. It's like drinking alcohol and taking your meds wrong. It can kill you in a heart beat. I take everything with a grain of (Grin) Celtic Sea salt. What is the reason the person is sharing the info with me? Do they have an outcome in mind? Are they acting in my best interests? Are they going to make a buck from this? Are there studies on it? Can those studies results be reproduced? This past year I had Tumors. I am a survivor of stage four Ovarian cancer back in 1991. Of 19 women in my family, only three have escaped cancer. The doctors wanted to do double simple mastectomies because of my family history and my own medical history. I decided that I would do the research and decide how to fight my battle myself. I went raw, I used Essaic tea, I did the Master cleanse, I used Castor oil packs on both breast and my liver, and polk root poultice packs on thr tumors. I turned to others who could help, and everything they suggested was carefully researched by me. I ended up having a small lumpectomy for the last tiny shrunken tumor, in a procedure that allowed me to go home minutes afterwords. My x-rays, mammograms, sonagrams and MRI are now clear. Last Biopsy is benign. I ended up losing my allergies, my asthma, my diabetes, my high blood pressure and over 50 pounds since September and my decision to make changes in my life. When I started, I hobbled from room to room with two canes. Yesterday I went and worked out in a local gym for the first time, no canes, and I walked there and back. It is only the beginning of my journey to health. And you know something? No one has the responsibility to protect my health and the health of my families more then myself. I love the raw community. I believe in raw and I believe in Naturopathic, Homeopathic medicine as well as Altas Orthogonal Chiropractic and Chinese medicine. In no way do I think that Western medicine (Allopathic Medicine) have all the answers. BUT in any walk of life there will be those who are looking to get money from you, and not all of them will be honest, or educated about what they are advising or selling, or realistic about what it takes to truly work your way to good health. There is a real tendency to want a quick fix or a " band-aid " to our health problems rather then to do the real work to get well. Ask yourself what is the root of your illness and be brave enough to tackle it instead of painting over it with iodine. I myself am in just starting my training to become a master herbalist. The first rule of all who attempt to help others should be " DO NO HARM. " When folks have something to offer, it is wise for us to do some serious research and find out if there are studies on the remedy we are thinking of doing. Just that so and so tried it and it did wonders for her is not enough. I have come out of the field of Allopathic medicine and I have seen a lot of deaths of people who should have known better. You wouldn't let a fast talking salesman be in control of your health. So don't let a slick web page do the same. Be cautious of folks on the internet. It only takes a hundred or so dollars to get a decent web page up. There are a lot of traps out there. Just because THEY believe in what they are selling, doesn't make it true, safe, or rational. THERE IS NO FAST CURE OR ONE SPECIAL STEP TO HEALTH. Please remember that it is not just the arrival of health that is important, but the growth and steps we take in our journey to wellness. If I could wave a magic wand and suddenly make a person well, with perfect physical health, it would not last. If the person doesn't learn the lessons they need to get to good health, with clear thinking and healthy emotional reasoning, then I would have wasted both of our time and they would end up right where they started out. It is not the arrival on any journey that is of the most importance, but the steps on the way and the people we share it with. ===== Peace, Joy and Good Health Laura test'; " type=text/css>
Guest guest
I hope I stay in this for the long-term and do the real work to get well. A couple of weeks of feeling better and my mind wants to go back to cooked and other drugs. There's no quick fix to my physical/spiritual malady. I'm not sure what's at the root of my illness, other than a lot of beliefs that aren't good for me. I sense them as mental pain and they clear very slowly. I hope I'm at a stage of life where I'm brave enough to tackle what I sense is wrong with me, rather going round and round in a sea of despair. The only way to begin my process of healing is to eat raw. There is no fast cure or one special step to health for me, and I have to accept that it's a long, drawn out process. If I stay this course, maybe I can have healthy emotional reasoning someday. I don't put much stock in the steps along the journey, I'm obsessed on the arrival, the end result. Another problem of mine.
