Hi John,

Dr. Ted Morter in his book " Your Health Your Choice " explains the alkaline and

acid affects of foods very well in layman's terms. The book has a lot of

information in it. He also explains why we get food cravings because some

foods are expansive, some are contractive and some are neutral.

I've read this in several different books. That fruit even acidic

friuit alkalizes your system.

Vegigran is correct. I tried adding wheat germ to my fruit juice shakes in

the morning. I was always hungry soon after having my juice. The addition

of wheat germ curbed the hunger in the pit of my stomach. I am also paying

attention as to whether I am allergic to it or not. If so, more than likely

I will switch to oat bran.
