Sasha, fresh organic goat milk from a healthy goat that is not around the billy

is sweet and mild without the " funky " taste:-) I live off grid in the wilderness

where I cannot have a fresh supply of goat milk and my dear Nubians got out and

ran away so I'm not getting more now. I buy bulk organic dried goat milk from

Myengerg to make my kefir with and it stores well. It does have a bit of a funny

taste but is good milk. The kefir grains work wonders for it and you get used to

the taste. I often add papaya chunks and agave nectar to my kefir in a bowl. Or

stevia and liquid chai spices for a beverage. I've even made a ranch type

dressing out of it for greek salads. It has many uses and it sure settles an

upset stomach. I think it has some good nutrients besides tons of probiotics and

sure is better than regualar unkefired milk. The kefir grains, kefir out the

lactose and sugar. But...I may experiment going off of it in a few weeks. I

know many raw fooders turn their noses up at even

this. We all experiment and go through changes.

Diana, I tried organic goat's milk several times. I just can't take the smell

or the taste, and no longer can even get it down. It is too bad, because I

bought a huge supply of it. I know it is supposed to be very good for you,but

is there a way to disguise it totally in order to make it palatable?

Thank you Diana. But so sorry to hear about your Nubians. Is there any way

we can get you some more? What a life you live. It sounds absolutely REAL

and NATURAL and WONDROUS. Just like the kind of life I have always dreamed

of. This is off post, sorry group, but Diana how did you come to live where

you do and do what you do. Sounds like you are living a Novel. Back on

post. . . . I have just this morning made my very first batch of Kefir, and

looking forward to tasting how it turns out. I will check around to find

out where I can get fresh organic goat milk that has not been around a billy

That should be an interesting investigation, and not difficult at all. I

live in the San Francisco Bay Area. So listen, if there is anything that

you would like to have down there, in them thar' hills, let me know, and I

will try to get it to you. Okay? Remember I was the one that asked what is

a Dewberry Hill.

Warmth and warm regards for the Holiday

No more goats for now, Sasha. Need to stay mobile to come to the city for

produce and fellowship and help husband at the duplex here. Yes, my life is a

book too busy living to write about except to ya'll net friends. Wonderous,

envious and also difficult sometimes. Re: kefir...are you using the living

grains to make it? Not the real thing if you are not. Can obtain them from

people on the kefir list, free. I just sent my overgrown ones to someone. OOOh!

Send me some cheap avos...I miss them. Waaay too expensive here. BTW Dewberry

Hill has wild blackberry like dewberries. Our mountain we named it.

Diana going to cabin tomorrow to lots of snow dragging up my produce. Dedicated

raw fooder, eh?
