Guest guest
I'm not sure what is going on, but there seems to be a lot of anger popping up here lately. Could I make a couple of suggestions? First, it's really hard to " hear " tone of voice when reading emails, and it might be good if we just give each other the benefit of the doubt, instead of seeing all the negative stuff. There has been a wide variety of information and sources shared here, and some I agree with, some I don't, and with other areas, I just don't know. I do know that folks can be at a wide variety of points along the path to wellness. I started as a vegetarian, then a vegan, now exploring raw foods, and have gone from being a high-fat intake raw vegan to a lower-fat intake. At each step of the way, I have felt more and more healthy, and if the low-fat vegan eventually leads to feeling less well, I'll do some more 'tweaking' and figure out what's missing. It's well within the realm of possibility that everyone expressing these different points of view feels very healthy, and therefore very certain that whatever plan they are currently following is " the one. " But I think it's important to remain open and sensitive to where our bodies are at at any given time, and be willing to move on the more we learn, both by study and experience. Sometimes it may mean going back to a former way of eating, or it may mean changing to something new. It can also mean addressing all the other issues that affect health besides our food, including sleep, sunshine, exercise, etc. I have really appreciated learning from the other folks here, and I would hate to see this turn into a place of anger and finger-pointing. Let's try just to remain open to each other. Life's too short to spend a lot of it in anger. (And of course, stress is another one of those factors that leaches health from us, isn't it? LOL). Peace to all, Valerie
Guest guest
I couldn't agree more Some people take things personally very easily, they are sensitive. Email is very hard to truly express your self and your real attitue. Put those things together and people can easily get offended. I hope nobody takes me disagree with them as a personal attack? I don't doubt the intelligence or motives of most people here. I think you guys generally are interested in learning and have a pasion for sharing things you have learned. I know I do. I think excitement can sometimes come across as someone being upset. I seemed to have pised someone off here. If I have offended any other people here and they just havn't said any thing please forgive me and consider it a misunderstanding. I haven't once actually been upset with anyone. I appreciate a lot of the feedback and some of it has really made me think.
