Guest guest
Hello all! I am new here, an all raw Organic Vegan. I don't currently use honey, although I have studied it and used it in the past. One of the reasons I don't consume animal products is I don't like how they are treated/used/whatever. Now I was a farm girl, raised my own stock, etc etc. Quality of life and so on... Even so I was unhappy. SO now I do all raw Vegan and have had great results. With the help of my Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractor (who started as Shaman first and then studied homeopathic and naturopathic medicine after getting his first degree) I am not only not in a wheelchair, but have put away both of my canes Too! I have so far gone from two inches past 300 on my scale to three inches below 300. SO I can actually boast that I lost five inches (grin) Its 16 pounds since mid September according to my doctor's scale. If I have a day that I crave, I eat an organic lemon. I love them! Did the master cleanse and I do want to point out something. One of the reasons we eat raw is the live enzymes are there in abundance for us. IF we dehydrate at the lower setting of 105 degrees we still get some of them, in a reduced amount. Microwaving kills all the enzymes and that Mircrowave was the hardest thing to give up. Essene bread is baked at 225 for a longer period of time, from sprouted grains. I have baked sweet potatoes, golden beets and yams at 200 for a slow cook and it is still considered " raw " enzyme wise according to my diabetic nutrionalist. (she is all raw Vegan too.) BUT Why do we not realize how maple sugar is made? Having come from the New England area, I can tell you it is vigorously boiled for a long time, and cream is added to keep it from boiling over. MANY companies use a form of formaldehyde in the processing/reducing. Even organic Maple syrup is cooked and reduced in high heat. No way it has live enzymes. I do my master cleanse without the maple syrup or the backstop molasses as it too is cooked at high heat for long periods. Frankly I drink it without the sweetener added. If you are doing the Master Cleanse for the ten days, and go from raw (for three days) into the master cleanse and then back to raw, you won't be lacking anything in major amounts minerally wise for that brief period. What about using Honey instead? I realize that pollen is gathered from the flowers and saved, and honey is considered by many to be a wonderful sweetener, but you can't give it to babies under 18 months because of the problems with botulism. Also, if it takes a million flowers for a pound of honey, that is a pretty steep price for the bees to pay for our desires. Its not like they give up up freely, but must be smoked down to even get to it. The other thing I think about when passing the honey up is that in Chinese medicine, a person who " NEEDS " the heavy amount of sugar is one who is not only out of balance with him/herself and nature, but considered to be mentally unbalanced as well. I know that a lot of my emotional baggage started to clear up once I walked away from sugar. Homeopathically and naturopathically speaking sugar is a medicine. The western culture misuses it dreadfully. Just my two cents worth, thanks for listening! Laura ===== test'; " > Read only the mail you want - Mail SpamGuard.
