HI, Katarina, While I agree with what you are saying, at the same time, I think this kind of article claims an authority it does not have. Most of his evidence is anecdotal at best, and he also makes the conclusion that the pure raw diet isn't really good for anyone, which is a faulty claim to make. It's good to have different voices in the discussion like his and Jinjee's, but I think the bottom line for folks is to try to give whatever they choose an honest try before they dismiss it as unworkable. Even within the raw food arena, I have friends who insist on all fruit, no veg except greens, others all veg, no fruit, even others who support the use of nuts and seeds, some who don't, etc. I guess we really do need to learn to listen to our own bodies and see what they respond to best. Peace, Valerie Hi Valerie, My aim wasn't to attack anyone's opinion, I just wrote my one. There are many different types of information regarding the alimentation. I think it is fine because a man can see the same thing from the various points of view. I am not speaking about 5-lines articles in the newspapers but about the books of some hundreds of pages. As well as this type of article can create prejudice againts raw food, many raw foodists create their own prejudice against other type of alimentation even without to try to get some information about it. I know many rawfoodists who are against macrobiotics but all they know about it that it is based on cooked food and it recommends grains. Speaking for myself, the raw food works well for me. First it was based on cereals to not to be hungry, then almost just on sweet fruits and now I begin again to eat vegetable, nuts, oils. During this time there was periods when I ate 100% raw and there were also those when I ate some small % of cooked vegetarian food, sometimes as a exception once during some weeks, sometimes almost daily. At the moment, I am again 100% raw for some 3 weeks but it is not my aim, I always eat what I want. If it stops to work for me, I can look for an alternative within the frontiers of raw food. There is also a possibility to switch to cooked vegetarian food (cooked vegan food is not very probable in my case, I prefer cheese to vegetable without life). And there is also a possibility to begin to eat the meat again although I wouldn't want to eat it if it is not really necessary. I don' t plan this things and I don't have any prejudice, I just need to feel in a harmony with myself in every moment of my life. In the same way, I look at this article in a positive way because it shows me other point of view and I can reevaluate my opinions and experiences. After doing it, I still consider raw food a " best " alimentation and I recommend it in a non-fanatic way as well as I recommend other type of alimentation to people that don't want to eat raw.
