newbie vegetarian

hi everyone! i just joined this group because i am becomming a

vegetarian i want to know more information on the lifestyle. ive

wanted to become a vegetarian for awhile, but my parents wouldnt let

me. i recently started reading about raw foods and how they help

weight loss. i was wondering if anyone knew of a website or book

that would have daily meal plans that would just help guide me. i

want to do this and do this right. thanks so much.

There are many books and web sites that have an organized approach. I found

www.hacres.com to be very helpful.

Hi Kait,

 

When I was a kid I wanted to be a vegetarian too

but it wasn't accepted or supported in my house either.

 

A very informative book with recipes and meals is

Gabriel Cousens' " Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine "

This book with give you sound information and by reading

it and following the guidelines, you can be sure you are not

overdoing fruit and fruit sugars in the beginning.

You gradually increase your fruit intake as you go through the phases.

 

Its a great book.
