Guest guest
Dear Rawfood Friends As you might be knowing know India is a country where a large section (particularly the Hindus in N.india) are against cow slaugher and are vegetarians, partly due to the belief that we are not supposed to kill other creatures because in the other births we could be reborn as any creature and therefore one should desist from sins of hurting other creatures. But in Kerala state of India where the population of 30 million people (With 22% christians and 12% muslims) are mostly non-vegetarians and in the past two decades fast food, chicken corners etc and eating out habits have become common. Also we see a spurt in hospitals as diseases like cancer, heart problems, kidney etc have also gone up tremendously. The poor cannot afford speciality treatment in private hospitals and there are so many families spending all their money for treatment of a kin. When they go bankrupt many families commit suicide and we see very high rate of suicide in Kerala, and many are commiting suicide along with whole family - mother, father, small girls and boys. The modern allopathic medicine with costly pills, diagnostic techniques etc is no solution to medical problems in our state as they can be afforded only by the rich and upper income groups. But Natural hygiene and raw food is a great solution to these problems, not only in curing the ill, but also in preventing occurance of chronic diseases. And it is cheap. You don't need to spend money on medicines. However there is pressure from the drug lobby and allopathic doctors against spreading of natural hygiene. However activists are trying to spread the message about the wonder of rawfood among the people Regards Sreekumar B
