Guest guest
Hi, I'm doing almost all raw now - occasionally consume some milk on my cereal in the morning, but other than that, only raw. I made butternut/mango soup the other day - quite good. ... before that borscht (beet soup) - absolutely excellent, so yes, you can eat all the veggies raw. Just need to find a good recipe to combine them in. The soup receipes came from Juliano's RAW - the UN cookbook. His recipes can be really involved tho, so I have ordered another book that may have some easier/simpler combinations. Should be receiving it soon. We will be discussing the book " 12 steps to raw " starting in October in another raw group here on .... the group name is '12stepstoraw', if you want to tune in and take part. It should be fun for those of us who are newbies at this. So, yes, you can be 100% raw, but everyone goes at their own pace and sets their own goals. I think incorporating at least a little raw into your diet is good! As with everything else ... it is a process. Cheers terry rawfood , " Debbie S. Guest guest
hi terry! this is what surprises me - i wouldn't have thouht butternut, or most squashes for that matter, were edible, raw... or beets? raw borsht, too? very interesting... <<< made butternut/mango soup the other day - quite good. >>> i'm going to check out the other group you mentioned, 12 steps to... but i wouldn't want to tackle the recipes in their books lol raw would be easier if i could clean out my kitchen, too.. but heck, like someone else mentioned, my daughter also has free room and board, maybe i will anyway LOL i think it helps me just reading these groups...
