On Noise Levels of Power Blenders

Hi everyone,

I'm always surprised at just how accepting we raw foodists--who are so

exacting (and rightly so) when it comes to purity of food--are when it comes to

the

extreme noise levels of Vita Mix and K-Tec power blenders. I would love to

have a power blender, but I don't want to subject my body to those harsh sound

waves.

I think we in the raw foods community should petition the manufacturers of

power blenders to find some way to come up with an affordable machine with a

much lower noise level. There are ones marketed for restaurants, but they cost

around $1,000.

Personally, I'm holding out for a quiet power blender.

Elaine and others, raw bread is where I have not experimented yet.

Recipes? Tips? I haven't gotten my dehydrator yet, but will before

winter.
