Guest guest
For a while now, I have been of this list because I did fall off - eating the foods that my parents have brought me up on and that they and my fiance are always eating - cooked, mostly well-done. My friends, too, eat this way but most are on this Atkins diet where fruit and yummy vegis are restricted, but you can eat all the meat you want -YUCK. For the past year or so, I have been getting signals from my body and emotions telling me to eat more friuts and vegis - but after a couple of days, the cravings get me - especially for sugar. And I lose - finding the pop-tarts for the grandkids in the cupboard and the soda pop, ughg. Though I haven't done any " real " tests for candida, I can tell it is probably an issue because I have spend the past 8 years or so binging on sugar product between the weeks of poor fave-diets. So, I have read some about treating candida - giving up anything sugar, even telling me to give up fruits until all is better, I'm guessing that means no cravings. I also do not want to eat meats, eggs, milk, cheese anymore either. It is a lot to give up at once, but I feel it is necessary to start fresh and new. The only thing to do is get through the cravings. But, also, to figure out what I can eat and stick to it until the craving for sugar are gone and I can start to eat fruit. So, that leaves me with, vegetables... nuts... beans... hmm... Any suggestions or comments, please let me know. Breakfast is a major issue - but I am seeing chickpeas and hummus as a filler for now. Thanks. Allison
