Juicers and Shipping to Canada

Hi Val,

 

I've never tried the Green Power. I've got a Champion and absolutely

love it. I've been using it almost daily for 2.5 years and off and on

for another 4 and it's still going strong. It's reasonably priced and

will even juice wheatgrass if you use scissors to slice up the

wheatgrass into little 1cm pieces.

 

As for shipping products into Canada from the US -- you will completely

get nailed with Duty, GST and PST (if you're anywhere other than

Alberta.) It's not pretty. The last book I ordered from the US cost

C$25 to purchase and another C$12 in duty and GST.

 

It's times like those that it just sucks to be Canadian!

I came accross some info on jappliances and from what I have been

able to gather, the green power machine seems to be the best for

juicing and making nut butters, etc. Does someone have this

juicer? If so, are you happy with it or would you get something

else? I would like to get a really good one that can be used for

many of the raw food preparations. What are your recommendations?

I know this juicer is expensive. Is there anyone from Canada? If I

were to get it here, it would be about $800.00. On one of the sites

I could get one for $554.00 Canadian, shipped from the states, but I

was wondering if i would have to pay gst and duty. TIA for your

comments and suggestions!
