Guest guest
Sandy, when you used Thieves, did you simply pour it on a sponge? Or dilute it with water and spray it? How did you use it? And is it easy to find in a health food store? Most oils in health food stores are diluted though, so be cautious about what you buy. They may be cheaper, but they're cheaper for a reason. I have no experience with using oils on mold, but I looked in my Essential Oils Reference book and under " Mold, " it says, " Single Oils: Cedarwood, Lemongrass, Lemon, Thyme, and Oregano. Blends: Purification and Thieves. " I second this!!! I have used the Blend called Thieves by Young Living on some mold I had in my kitchen and it never came back. I've also heard diffusing Purification will kill it in a heartbeat. I use the oils for everything! They are wonderful! Guest guest
Hi Judy~ I actually used the Thieves cleaner and added the blend Thieves (Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus radiata, Rosemary cineol) to it. The Thieves cleaner comes concentrated and you dilute it to clean. I used a very strong concentration in a spray bottle with water that I added more Thieves blend to. I sprayed it on a sponge and wore gloves (not because of the Thieves but because of the mold) and scrubbed down the area. I only had to do it once. It was on the back wall of my pantry and a pretty large section. Then after it had dried a few days I painted over the area. We had some other straying mold here and there around the baseboards in the kitchen and my husband painted over those without letting me treat the mold with the Thieves. It ate through the paint. Yuck! So I had to strip what paint was left to get to the mold under the paint to fix it. These are products from Young Living and you have to get them through a distributor. I am one and it sounds like Linda may be one too. I am not on this group to sell so if you would like more info please email me privately fitjunkie or click on my website below! Hope that helps!
