Hopefully, one can gain freedom from such constraint, and relax into some independence of thought and experience. > There are lot of personal opinions being past around. Many things are axiomatic, and common sense. Unfortunately, many people are caught up in their indenture to " science " and their gurus, and may have trouble seeing the obvious. > I'm on my way to practice Caloric Restriction. The raw food movement is rife with gimmicks, and newbies are all too susceptible to them all. All the pills, potions, powders, all the fractionated foods like oils, wheatgrass juice, green juices, etc. All the starvation diets labeled " juice fasts " , " cleanses " , maple syrup and water, caloric restriction, etc. All the pills and powders of algae, inorganic minerals, " supplements " , etc. All the herbs, animal products, colonics, etc. Been there, done that (though not ALL of it, lol). Fortunately, I didn't do it for very long. I think people need to be reminded that it's a raw FOOD movement, and this is a raw FOOD list. If one seeks health, it's very simple. In fact, it's too simple, we humans have been conditioned from birth to complicate things. But all we need to do is eat raw food, vegan food, food that is compatible with our physiology, and which looks and tastes wonderful, as close as possible to the way it comes in Nature. We need to eat as much as our body wants, when our body wants it. We need to only refrain from eating during periods when our bodies have no real hunger, usually accompanied by acute symptoms, and at those times we consume nothing but water, and we are at complete rest. There is nothing to be gained by artificiality and contrivances, we can't improve upon Nature, we can only hinder real health by imposing gimmicks upon our bodies, substituting them for real nutrition.
