Guest guest
Hello list...this is a GREAT group of folks. Thanks for all the info. This post is mainly for DEB -- I just got a new book. It's called Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine by Gabriel Cousens, MD. It lists ALL the foods for 6 mos and up to 1yr and over. An example from the back of his book - quote - : Age appropriate Foods for 6 mos. and under: Almond Milk (as Breastmilk supplement if necessary) fresh young coconut water wild-crafted red bananas apples, peeled pears, peeled cucumbers, peeled avocado At this stage, feed baby a mono diet (one type of food per meal). Mix all solid foods with water (in blender or fork) until they are liquid consistency. If you can exclusively breast-fed, you may choose to wait to introduce food until baby is at least 6 months old. Here's his 2 recipes for Almond milk: 1 c. almonds, soaked 3 c. coconut water (from young coconuts) OR 1 c. almonds, soaked 2 c. water 2 c. coconut water Blend and strain. ============================== ME HERE: I would add the 1 t. of coconut oil to the almond milk.
