Guest guest
Rich, To inject some humor...I was not promoting non-violence to plants....LOLs. I was simply making a point. Animals are not perfect creatures. I believe that we are suppose to eat to live...not live to satisfy our gluttony. I believe that the healthiest diet is at least 75% raw. For some, the best is 100% raw. In fact, there is, on record, an account of a man in a primative culture that was supposedly 300 years old and outlived several wives. Supposedly he only at fruit from his own orchard. If this is true, could it be duplicated by someone who has lived in a polluted culture? Can this be proven? I don't know. Even if it could, I would not want to live to be even 120. With my spouse, children, and friends dead, I am not sure I would find life valuable. In fact, in one of his books, Bernard Jensen stated that he personally met men in primative cultures who were 150 and wanted to die. In that culture, as Jensen tells it, the men have to will themselves to die because they don't have degerative disease. I have to see some humor in this! What is worse...a degenerative disease or willing oneself to die and not succeeding! LOLs and a big smile. I remember reading an article which stated that George Bernard Shaw said he wished he had never become a vegetarian. Why? He was tired of living and couldn't die! I remember being shocked by this piece of information when I read it. Did he really say this? I don't know, but it made me think! Anyway, I am glad plants can't run from us or I would be perpetually hungry! LOLs mary
