Guest guest
Hi Mary, Hope this finds you and the family well. I just want you to know I hear you. I am just " lost " . I guess if I had someone make me up a menu and say " Toni, eat this " . It would then be a lot easier. Coming down to it all, the food just isn't that important anymore. I have a lot of stress here along with an emotionally unstable teen so adding that to ill health, well it just makes it alittle tougher. Not whining though...that is not my style. You pulled through a horrendous health ordeal and I pray you will conquer the one you face now. Again, your words of wisdom and knowledge are so appreciated. Sometimes though I feel like I am in a paintball court with this one's views and that one's views but I do trust in what you are saying. I just do not know where to begin. God Bless Hugs, Tone You obviously know what to do. You must now choose whether or not to do it. mary
Guest guest
tone, I should have said that transitioning to anything new with a teenager is the 'pits'! I don't envy your situation in that regard. I am glad I am on the other end. mary --- Tone <tone102 wrote: > Hi Mary, > > Hope this finds you and the family well. I just > want you to know I hear you. I am just " lost " . Guest guest
I heard these stories at the raw institute. The norm is indeed keeping with status quo. IT is so very hard to make change. We have to go against all our culture. I did see people come to the institute who had NO background in health or food matters, but for me, if I had not had the background of searching for health that I did there would be NO WAY I could jump into raw or alternative health remedies. I collected sufficent medical research to convince intellectually the side of the family in medicine on raw and other alternative remedies but culture is so strong they cannot overcome their feelings even after agreeing with the science. Going against the current takes a tremendous amount of courage, fortitude, stubbornness, and desperation, usually. As frustrated as I get with my elderly housemate I have to concede that in her sickness she cannot give up " comfort food " , food she ate growing up that her mother made for her, no matter that it is literally killing her. Frankly, I would not be on this path is I had not developed chronic fatigue. The question is which " pain " does one want to live with, the one of sickness, or that which comes through the struggle for change? --anne rawfood , mary <marymassung> wrote: > > Only you can determine how badly you want to regain a > degree of health.
