Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I have only been sprouting for a couple of weeks and I have successfully sprouted alfalfa, wheat berries, broccoli, mung, adzuki, and sunflower. I have a question regarding sprouting rye and oat groats. My only times sprouting them they did not sprout---I soaked for 12 hours and rinsed 2 times a day. On the third day--no sprouts but I did have a flying bug in the jar (kind of like a fruit fly)...this happened in both jars at different times. I had thought it happened to the oat groats b/c I figured they might not be truly raw. But when it happened w/the rye (I know they are raw and for sprouting) I began to wonder if it's something I am (or am not) doing. ANy input would be appreciated.
