<<<< 3. Compulsion is not God's way. If God is allowing me to choose for

myself, I must allow my husband to choose for himself.>>>>

Hello Mary,

You are one very wise woman. I can relate to you so much in my own journey.

I am so grateful that I was able to stay at home and take care of my

children, while my husband went out and worked so hard to support us. I

assumed all the household chores including meal preparations. Twenty years

ago, I decided to seek a healthier lifestyle. One of which my husband did

not desire to follow, so I have for the past 20 years, still bought and

cooked the types of foods he enjoys. We are so completely opposite in our

thinking. I love exercising, eating healthy, going to church, etc. etc.

Why we even cancel each other out at the polls when we vote. But the one

thing that we do share in common, is our respect, love and caring for each

other and that respect is what has helped us to stay together all these

years (almost 50). I do feel sad when cooking and serving him the unhealthy

food as I see what it is doing to his health, but it is his choice. I would

not want to be forced to change just because he decided to make a change in

his life. You are so right when you say life is short and it passes so

quickly. I would want to be remembered as a loving wife, mother and

grandmother, and not someone that pushed my ways on the family or withheld

my committments because they did not march to my drumbeat.
