Tone,

When I was studying, one point was repeatedly made. It

always made me laugh when I though of it. It goes like

this...

If all of us (who are health concious) went to a

buffet which consisted of a wide variety of only

healthy foods, we would each choose the wrong foods!

We are sick because we avoid the foods we need (even

when making healthy choices) and eat the foods we

like!

Hippocrates stated that food should be our medicine.

That is, the only food I need is the food which meets

some current cleansing, building, medicinal need in my

body. Everything I eat should meet some need and, if

it doesn't, I should not eat it. Nothing I put in my

body is neutral. I have often thought of this every

time I pick up a stalk of celery...which I have never

particularly liked!....LOLs However, maybe if I liked

it, I would not be prone to a deficiency in organic

sodium!

In the course of my studies I also learned that all

cravings are important as they reveal deficiencies.

the secret is determining which deficiencies...LOLs

I can remember the period in my life when I wanted

mustard at all costs. When it wasn't available, I

would have settled for ketchup, mayo, or even pickles!

Finally, I decided to read all the labels to find out

what common ingredient was in all of these. It was

vinegar. Natural apple cider vinegar (mother

tincture) is very high in organic potassium. To check

my observation, I drank an ounce of the mother

tincture ACV straight. Believe it or not...it tasted

good! I felt the need to do this daily for about a

week and then had no more craving for any of the

condiments or ACV. Now, when I crave condiments, I

drink an ounce of ACV. I learned to pay attention to

my cravings! I had to search out the nutrient which

this craving was alerting me to.

Most recently I have been craving dairy products

(which I rarely ate even when I was not eating

healthy). I finally realized that the formaldehyde

would have depleted my body of calcium. Because of

the magnitude of formaldehyde antigens in my body

(350% above normal safe limits), I began taking a

coral calcium supplementation (with magnesium) and

minimized animal food. Periodically I stop for a

period of time to observe my body's reaction. If the

craving begins again, I start taking it again. I had

never craved calcium before. Hopefully, I will be

able to get past this.....until then, I do what I

must.

In fact, having been a 90% raw fooder for over 5 years

at one time (with 6mos being 100% fruitarian-raw) I am

finding that my current cravings are leading me back

to this diet!!!! I would never have believed this to

be possible. (I can still remember my struggle to make

all the changes that got me to that diet!) My biggest

obstacle is my dependence upon a friend to drive me to

the nearest health food store to get organic

fruit....as well as the need to cleanse my body as

much as possible before transitioning to a fruitarian

diet. With the formaldehyde in my body, this may take

some doing. Any mistake could cost me my life. Oh

well....
