Guest guest
I've noticed that there are a lot of people who eats things like dates with nuts and other things that mix different types of foods. What got me interested in health and nutrition was a book called 'Fit for Life' It talks about proper food combinning. do most raw foodists not follow concepts like not mixing proteins with sugars and starches or not mixing fruit with non fruits? Guest guest
John, I rather think most raw foodist look at recipes tongue-in-cheek but in this forum there is a large lobby of people who think recipe's cooked up by restauranteurs to make raw food look like cooked food which it seldom resembles in taste are wonderful. To be fair I think such concoctions have a place for some people when starting out in eating raw. I have added the word " recipe " to others such as " porn " , " free " , etc. and messages with those words go straight in the trash. That way I avoid friction. No doubt there will be reaction to this message but I may never find out. Guest guest
Hi John, I use to eat one type of fruit in one meal. I have read many articles about food combining but the priority for me is to listen to my body and not just follow some theory, although positive one. There was a period when I needed to add great amounts of nuts to fruit when I stopped to eat raw grains and vegetable. Now the nuts are too dry to me, so I do not eat them.
