Guest guest
This post spins off Mary Ellen's post about meat eaters trying to communicate with raw foodists. My view is that regular dieters see themselves on the top level as do those on the edge of raw foodism and those deep in. The only open ears are those who want to progress from one level to the next. Those who know that they have arrived are a lost cause. I have long ago abandoned serious communication with confirmed cooked meat eaters. And rightly. Words do nothing more for them than the example of being fitter, etc. does from being raw. A quick exchange of words simply reinforces positions. Much better, I find, to say Béarnaise sauce without fresh estragon is a heresy. The bottled stuff is simply poor man's poison used in most third rate restaurants. That way they get the message that I know what I am talking about and they can ponder. In the home the distance between planets is far greater and the level of diplomacy needs to be on an altogether higher level. Being in the confirmed raw foodist position, I understand inertia.
