Hi Ardee, I'm not sure what messages and/or members you're referring

to, but I can feel the frustration in your post. I'd like to say that

I agree with some of the points you've made. However, please

understand, that there will be confrontational people in all walks of

life. Raw veganism is no exception. When I first visited the groups I

have to admit that I noticed an egotistical tone in a few messages as

well, but the reality is that each one of us has full control over

how we react to a particular response. I've learned to take what

benefits me and leave the rest. If a particular member or message

offends you, simply skip over it. In a few groups there are certain

members I felt were aggressive and confrontational. Thus, I simply

don't click and open messages by those members. This avoids feeling

the need to respond. Silence says much more than a tit for tat

debate. The reality is that MOST raw foodists are positive, patient,

and helpful. There are 900+ members in this group. A handful of

confrontational members do not reflect the majority. That is a fact.

Although there are aggressive members who may speak the loudest

giving the impression that they're opinions are more important, their

aggressive messages also make it easier to read between the lines.

Though many may have tons of book knowledge concerning raw foods,

character can not be taught. It's very easy to study and repeat what

one has read in a group. But the reality is that unless we have seen

each individual we have no way of knowing if they speak from genuine

experience, are living the words they speak, or are simply here

posting to irritate others. I firmly believe that our emotions and

attitude reflect our chemistry. Thus, another reason I take with a

grain of salt the advice by those who seem confrontational. What's

god for their system may not work for my own. Long story short, I

wouldn't stress over it...it's a waste of time and energy. :) Lili
