Guest guest
I bought some awhile back but didn't know the difference. I got the refined kind. It doesn't have that yummy coconut smell ( I like to use it as a lotion (it's a tad greasy but once it soaks in my skin gets super soft) but i notice it smells almost ashy... like cigarette ashes. It doesn't linger but i always get that one whiff of it. Is it my imagination or is that from the refining process? Once this jar is done i'm getting UNrefined! peace nikki ps... i never eat it, only digest what i lick off my lips. I've even used just a dab to tame my frizzy hair! Peter, It's a combination of theory and my experience with my own health. Many believe that we evolved consuming whole ripe foods and are better off continuing that for ideal health. When we process and concentrate certain aspects of a food, it is not ideal for us. Natural Hygienists could give you more information on this. From my own experience I know the richness and flavor of mature coconuts and the resulting milk. I also know I do not feel as vibrant drinking fresh " milk " I juice from the meat, while I feel OK consuming the meat itself. I actually feel tired after consuming the milk, though it tastes wonderful! Traditionally coconut oil has been produced from mature coconuts, sometimes older ones. As many cultures do not like to waste foods, older coconuts could still be processed for their oils. FYI, I do have some purchased coconut oil. I use it on rare occasions, not for food, but for topical applications, such as if I feel they may help dry lips or skin, etc. When I tried consuming the oils, they did not do much for me. There are a lot of theories and beliefs out there. If you are drawn to try a bottle of oil, go for it. Also try fresh coconut milk and fresh coconut meats. Experiment and see what works for you! Jeff PS: does that answer your question? >Your post suggests that snow white virgin oil is not all that it is >cracked up to be. > >How sure are you of your ground?
