Guest guest
I just found out last night why fruits and vegetables should not be mixed when eating. So this is the help I need. I need someone to either let me know all the non-food combos and why, or point me to a site that discusses this in detail?! Sin, VB
Guest guest
>I need someone to either let me know all > the non-food combos and why - Simple explanation: The why is that different foods require different enzymes and speed of digestion. Mixing sugars with proteins, for example, keeps the sugars in the stomach too long and fermentation begins as well as interfering with the protein digestion. Try to eat different foods, one at a time with a few minutes between each. ***Your DON'T mixes: Don't mix fruits and veggies. Exception is celery. Don't mix sweet fruits with tart fruit. eg. bannanas/grapefruit etc. Remember the expression, " Don't mix apples and oranges " ? Don't mix melons with anything. Don't mix starches and proteins. You can mix carbs with proteins as long as the carb is in a raw food state, but not flours or refined starches or sugars of any kind with proteins. Fats and proteins can be mixed but not fats and starches. The worst combination is sweet fat stuff. Butter, eggs, millk and sugar whipped up is about as deadly a combo as you could make. And remember that a fruit is the product of a flower so tomatos, peppers and cukes are fruits. Veggies are the stalks, leaves, flowers or roots of plants. rusty - " vaberella " <vaberella <rawfood > Monday, March 22, 2004 7:36 AM [Raw Food] Food Combination.. > I just found out last night why fruits and vegetables should not be > mixed when eating. > > So this is the help I need.
