well, the senate decided to send all nuclear wastes to yucca mountain..an

ancient volcano which many scientists consider a poor site...

this site ,which is suppose to be geoloigcally sound(it is over several faults)

and is suppose to be able to hold the waste fer 100,000 years or more(tho, they

have found rain water that has percolated down to the level that the wastes will

be stored at which is less then 50 yrs old, so much fer 100,000 yrs..)

on the plus side, all is not lost..the nevada governor is taking it to court,

and this will probably tie it up fer a number of years....

and the NRC is probably gonna spend like 5 yrs debating on how, who, and when,

so hopefully , in that time, some common sense will take over
