Guest guest
B " H Actually, I don't. I take no medication (not even aspirin), over the counter or prescription. I am totally against drugs for myself and others. BUT I also support civil rights, know these stupid --- er, important ;-) -- tests are not terribly reliable (though the administrators act as though they are as accurate as G-d -- I hope those of you who don't believe in G-d will excuse the reference -- I just mean that for those of us who believe in G-d, only G-d is infallable, to those who don't, I can only assume nothing is infallable ;-) It is important to know if, oh, let's say a bus driver or train engineer is on drugs (I would include anti-hystemines in this) or in any way impared since lives depend on their reflexes. But a student in school? Somehow, I have a feeling there are other ways of telling.... And then the child should be treated as sick and treated by a doctor (or therapist). But fail a drug test and you're branded a criminal.... even at age 8.... Debbie most of us take drugs everyday yer right, i drink, and many folks take aspirin, drink coffee..all are drugs i knew you would reply because i've seen yer e-mails fer the last 2 yrs and yes, skools are a partnership..not a police state that will just make more kids drop out this isn't about drug testing 8 yr olds, this is snooping into the lives of teens
Guest guest
Hi Debbie > Actually, I don't. I take no medication (not even aspirin), over the > counter or prescription. I use herbal teas for medicinal purposes - is that classified as " drugs " ? To a Hare Krishna, Garlic and Onion should only be used for medicinal purposes (as are some other foods), and are thought of as " drugs " ! I also believe that it is up to everyone to make their own choices on drugs. If people want to take drugs, then it's up to them - the only thing that annoys me is when it affects others (i.e. passive smoking, drunken driving, etc.) > I > just mean that for those of us who believe in G-d, only G-d is > infallable, to those who don't, I can only assume nothing is > infallable ;-) But which one are you talking about? :-) BB Peter --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
