Ah, yes, my favorite verse ;-) -- I'm an Orthodox Jew, so I quote

THAT one a lot (in the original Hebrew, of course, or my own

translation ;-) --

John Robbins said it well... if he goes out, and asks his older son

to watch his younger son, he's basically giving his older son

dominion over the younger son. He doesn't expect to come home and

find out that his older son has eaten his younger son (heard this

from one of his talks....)

--- Just commenting on the meaning of the word dominion when used in

Genesis1; that EBbrewpunx@ made; .. as some people also interpret the

meaning of the word to include eating the animals as well as abusing

them, surely the second to last sentence in Gen 1;29: should clear

this up, when saying Quote(''everything that has the breath of life

in it ,that shall be theirs for food'')re; to plants)a lot of

creatures have the breath of life in them!

scripture are the 7th day Aventists, which is suprising, why other so

called Christian groups don't take notice of that text, as it is the

last instruction or advice given by God to Adam and eve!you would

think those that claim to follow the Biblical teaching would at least

take that teaching into their lives!
