Hi everyone! I'm really new to veganism & just had a couple of

questions. I didn't have a problem giving up meat, but I feel almost

" addicted " to milk. I get really bad cravings for it (I was drinking

1 litre a day, and have recently cut back a lot). I actually found it

easier to quit smoking after 7 years, than give up dairy. Is cold

turkey the best way to deal with this? I also have quite the sweet

tooth and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good book for

cutting back on sugar.

Thanks,

Kelly

well, its been said that milk has opiate mimics in it..sooo.

and i'm sure the fats in it are hard to break

its up to you how you do it...do you think you could do it better cold turkey?

how did you quit smoking?

i'd cut all regular dairy out(milk, etc), and then work on ingredients like whey

and such, assuming you haven't already

but, its all how you feel and think you'll do!

cheers

< Hello Kelly,I've been Vegan over 7yrs now,(the best thing I've ever

did ) I gave up smoking around the time I became vegetarian,14 yrs

ago, anyway I found dairy especially cows milk the most difficult to

give up,I even mixed soya milk with cows milk to ween myself off the

it,it worked for me,good luck,
