crabs are scavengers, they'll eat flesh, vegetation, fruit, all depending on the

species...

i'm wondering if the crabs were actually lookin fer water, or they just fell

in....land crabs drown reaaaal easy!!!!

thses sound like land crabs, on there way to the ocean to drop off some eggs,

and head fer home...lots of em drown ....

plus, pools are full of chlorine and other assorted chemical fun

but, then, maybe these were happy crabs enjoying a dip, wot the heck do i know

that there wasn't much in the way of good eatins in a swimming pool...  That is

so amazing how they find the water like that!

night and hear this scratching and there would be a big 'ole crab cruising

around the house (we had a pool and a dog door on the patio surrounding the pool

and they would end up in the house every year).  <snip><<

pool, too?  You know crustaceans are just aquatic bugs, pretty much.  They are

arthropods just like insects and spiders.

Hey, I though chlorine was great for wildlife -- that's why they put so much of it in our fresh water supply, right? ;)
