Guest guest
wha-wha-what? I have never heard of or seen any of these. I have a somewhat funny stink bug story, tho: I fished a pretty, pretty green " true " bug out of our pool when I was little and was so proud of the pretty bug I found, I took it to show my mom. Her eyes started popping out of her head and she told me to put it down carefully and wash my hands. That's when I found out what a stink bug was. (My mom knows a thing or two about bugs, too and is also a huge fan of walking sticks) I wanna see the beetles with the fuzzy butts!!! --jojo - <EBbrewpunx Wednesday, April 24, 2002 8:22 AM bugs..off topic..again..RE: Re: Re: Re: Re: cicadas > one of the prettiest beetles i remember seeing (live) were the big caterpillar hunters...iradescent green..they came out in droves when the plague of gypsy moth caterpillars hit... > and, in the desert, they have these lil black beetles, with fuzzy red butts, i have no idea wot those are..and, bombadier beetles!! they stick their lil hineys in the air nad shot at you!! and stink!!! > fraggle > > > " jojo " <tofujojo wrote: > > > > > - > > pghpam > > > > Wednesday, April 24, 2002 5:36 AM > > RE: Re: Re: Re: cicadas > > > > > > My dog can spot fresh poop a mile away - I had to put the litterbox downstairs with a kiddie gate blocking the steps so the cats could go under but she couldn't go down - no more tootsie rolls for that dog. > > LOL -- my family calls cat poo " tootsie rolls, " too :-D! Are they pretty much wild or do they tend to dwell in urban settings? I could see being bothered by them if they were in my apartment breeding, but I think it would be neat to see them flying around outside. I heard that Fla gets some really pretty exotic -- almost tropical -- beetles. I want to go somewhere tropical just to look at the beetles. Big, shiny, metallic, herbivores (well, most beetles are herbivorous anyway...) I think I've seen some stag beetles and rhinoceros (sp?) beetles, on the east coast, but they are tiny in comparison with their tropical cousins. > > > > --jojo > > www.tofu2go.com > > > > > To send an email to - > >
