Guest guest
Okay, here are some potential snacks. =================== Store-bought snack favourites (all from Coles): 1. Light cereal with fruit - Norganic Granola - Freedom Foods Hi-Lite cereal - chopped banana, peach, pear or strawberries, etc 2. Sweet breads - Western cinnamon and raisin bagels - Buttercup fruit muffins - Sunicrust traditional fruit loaf 3. Nuts, seeds and dried fruits - almonds, pistachios, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc - dried apricots, paw-paw, prunes, pears, etc 4. Rice cakes sandwiched with filling - Pureharvest organic rice cakes - tahini & raspberry jam (together.. yum) - golden syrup (to satisfy a sweet-food craving) 5. Chippies - Nu-vit sweet potato chips - Freedom Foods chickpea chips 6. Icecream - Fruccio dutch chocolate icecream (or So Good, but Fruccio tastes better) =================== Home-made snack favourites 1. The lovely sandwich e.g. Helga's/TipTop/Sunicrust bread, Nuttelex margarine, avocado, beetroot, tomato, spinach 2. Cake! e.g. Super Banana Cake (super easy and super quick) Preheat oven to 180°C 1 x cup raw sugar 2 x equivalent eggs (Egg-Like egg replacer, for example) 3 x bananas 1 x tsp vanilla 125g x vegan margarine 1.5 x cups S.R. flour 1 x tsp bicarb. soda 2 x tbls soy milk Mash bananas with vanilla essence. Cream margarine & sugar. Add egg replacer gradually, beating well. Add bananas, stir in smoothly. Dissolve bicarb. soda in the soy milk. Alternately add the soy milk and flour, mixing until smooth. Bake for 30 mins, until done. Tastes good with citrus (lemon, orange) or passionfruit icing, if you use icing sugar. =================== ok! Hope that helps. kate
