Which means I need to disclaim what I say: I am a scientist, with no

medical or dietary qualifications.

We do occasionally hear media reports of people who lost energy on a

veggie diet (vegans only seem to get media attention if they die, are

really really sexy, or used to command the starship Enterprise). So it's

good to talk, with honesty, to someone who isn't thriving on a vegan

diet.

If they (I'm sorry, but I'm finding your name gender-neutral) are vegan.

Shari, are you vegan or ovo-veggie?

There are a couple of things it's easy for a vegan to miss - it's fairly

easy to get Calcium and Iron, but it's possible to miss them if you

don't eat your greens, Iodine shouldn't be a problem with Iodised salt

in the US, but you can't reliably get B12 without fortified foods or

tablets.

Good for protein, but that's not the issue.

Check the dosages. Is it giving the RDAs for all the above? Some multis

don't cover all the bases ... although a vegan multvitamin tablet should

really cover the bases for vegans.

There's nothing in milk you can't get elsewhere. Of course, it could be

something completely unrelated to diet .. like a long-term infection. Or

your symptoms could be B12 or Iron. One never knows.
