I don't want to go through this again, but, to summarise: Actually, it's a short story to do with Lesley smearing and libelling people at LV. There's a long gap between wishing that the talk-centred meetings were more child-amenable, and ranting in multiple online fora about how they are " child-hating bigots " and claiming one of them attacked her. Lesley did the latter, repeatedly, and was eventually thrown out. > I won't mention any names, but they have never made it easy for those > vegans with young children to get involved in the group, for instance > saying on their website that they would run a creche for meetings if > asked well enough in advance and then not doing it, indeed not even > answering emails requesting the creche well in advance. It's a voluntary organisation and sometimes emails get missed because someone is ill, or the website isn't updated for a long time. > I don't think parents should be left out of the vegan scene, but this > is what is happening with LV. Someone forgot to tell the single mum at the country life meal I went to. Or the LV organiser who's also a single mum. -- Ian McDonald http://www.mcdonald.me.uk/
Guest guest
The single mum who is an organiser has one teenager, so that is not comparable. She probably has extended family anyway. We do not have that luxury of a regular babysitter. Peter of LV did not miss my email, he simply chose to ignore it, why don't you ask him? We go to Country Life sometimes too, but that was the only LV thing we had been able to go to for years. I know the truth about the attack on me, so does my husband. We are the only ones who really know as witnesses can easily misinterpret how hard someone is being manhandled. You weren't even there, no more needs to be said.
