Guest guest
A harmful amendment to the Farm Bill could prevent states from enacting important food and dietary supplement safeguards, which the federal government has failed to do. Currently, states can adopt regulations to fill gaps left by the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) lack of resources and authority over certain food products and dietary supplements. Passage of this amendment would erase state and local consumer protections that are stronger and more protective of consumers than FDA requirements.
