With what? And can the offspring stay fertile?

The reason that a species is usually defined as being things that can't

interbreed is that if they interbreed, the borders become fuzzy. It's

the indefinitely fertile offspring that matter, not the ones who can't

populate the earth.

Which is why I thought that the interfertile canines were all one big

slobbering family :).

i assume with another donkey...i just know that mules are not 100%

imfertile...just damn close...

dunno about hinnies tho....

*shrugs*

species can sometimes mate across the line tho..as in the case with a lot of

birds.....as long as the species be close enough.....
