Hello, my name is Chuck.

I have been a vegetarian for about three years and I still can't

seem to get enough motivation to become vegan even though I'm

profoundly disgusted by factory farming and human arrogance and

violence against animals. I think it may be due to the fact that I'm

18 and can't afford much, and I haven't been able to afford much

since I was born.

Any suggestions?

hmm

i assume you eat a lot of processed foods, correct?

ok, now, while those might seem cheap and effiecient, think of the actual costs,

in wastes, manufacturing, etc

vegetables aren'tt that expensive, if you comparrision shop, you find yer bills

actually go down, trust me!! i was homeless when i first went vegan, and it was

hard, but once i figured it out, and stayed away from local licqour stores for

food, it was smooth sailing!!!

good luck

Actually, your assumption was inaccurate.

I don't like processed foods (if by that you mean veggie hot dogs and

burgers) though occasionally my friend Alex makes TVP tacos.

When I went vegan for a couple of weeks my diet was rather small.

Green peppers, spinache pie, rice, and spegetti with tomato sauce.

After that small amount of time I felt impoverished.

My friend Chris, (who is still vegan I believe) tells me I should

order a bunch of dietary supplement pills.

Though I'm not all about diet pills and processed soy.

and I don't really like the veggies at my local super market 'cause

they're all grown with such high levels of chemicals.

and my lawn isn't large enough to grow an adequate sized garden.

Let me know what ya think,

Cheers!

*bows*

my apologies then

as for yer diet, heck, there are tons of different things out there..wouldn't

even know where to begin...there are some downloadable recipe sites if yer

interested...

as fer supplements..never have taken em..i hate pills...about the only thing a

vegan could run short on is B12...and its found in sea vegetables..and with a

suishi place 2 blocks away, i'm pretty well covered

:)

haven't had any major problems yet..at least stemmin' from veganism...had a

bunch beforehand

:)

cheers

Picture a mother cow looking sad as you take away her 10th ofspring( as you

have done every year within days of its birth ) Hear her anguished

lowing

Think of something you love and how you would feel if I took them away and

you never saw them again.

Now get your act together have some thought for the poor cow , picture it

every time you see dairy and go vegan NOW

As you are veggie, you are already helping. It can be difficult to be

vegan, especially to start with. It does take quite a bit of time to read

labels, and know what they mean, and to find cheap and quick recipes.

Eating out as a vegan is usually possible, but can be a bit boring, unless

you like baked potatoes and salad - but then it's worth putting up with that

to be vegan, and socialise.

Any - good luck.
