Guest guest
Hi Ian / Jane Ah yes - I definitely remember the Shell suits. Still don't recall the colour thing, but then I really didn't pay that much attention to David Icke at that time. > As far as I noticed, Peter isn't defending Icke against accusations of > being a basket-case (are you, Peter?), only against anti-semitism. Absolutely correct. My contention with the Canadian Greens, Anti-Nazi League et al is that they are preventing me from being able to make up my own mind about David Icke's mental state by preventing his lectures - I always think it is easier to judge someone " live " than in print, and would like this opportunity. I also find it hard to swallow that a so called anti-nazi group associates itself with people who seem fond of the founders of the Ku Klux Klan. > The next few paragraphs boil down to Edith saying " David Icke isn't > saying what David Icke says, but what Edith says David Icke says " . It's > impossible to carry on a discussion when someone claims only they can > read the source documents accurately. If I may make my own interpretation, I think it boils down to " David Icke isn't saying what David Icke says, but what those who wish to discredit David Icke say " - the conversation I have had with Edith on this is remarkably similar to that I had with the Anti Nazi League. The thing that really gets me is, if you want to discredit David Icke, it would be far easier to highlight some of his more wild theories about the world leaders being reptiles - why go to the effort to divert attention from what he actually says? It is the fact that certain people choose this way to try to discredit Icke that suggests to me there must be *something* in what he is saying. BB Peter --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Personally, I suspect that Edith is simply utterly paranoid about racism, to the point of seeing it where it isn't. I doubt her aim is to discredit Icke. I mean, that's not difficult. It is quite a problem. Unfortunately the ANL has jumped to that conclusion as well, and sadly I can no longer support them, because now I do not trust their judgement. I feel they have taken action without full investigation. Jo --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
