I frequently shop for clothes in charity shops and sometimes buy

second hand leather shoes, wool jumpers, silk scarves. I figure that

I am not directly contributing/supporting using animal by-products

because they are second hand, the money I pay for these goods goes to

charity and not to the leather/wool/silk industry. I justify this by

saying I am recycling unwanted clothes.

I would be interested to know other people's views on this.

I wouldn't get wool or silk because I have never bought them (wool-too itchy

and silk-too expensive years ago) But occasionally I might get shoes or a

belt As you say its recycling It helps the charity and would otherwise be

thrown in the bin? Angie

fer lil ol me, i wouldn't buy leather gain, just cuz...

i still have leather goods (my old torn to hades jacket, and some belts and

bracelets and wotnot) that i got hella years ago, long before me go vegan, but,

as they wear out, i replace em with non-dead animaly things
