Guest guest Posted November 14, 2001 Report Share Posted November 14, 2001 I frequently shop for clothes in charity shops and sometimes buy second hand leather shoes, wool jumpers, silk scarves. I figure that I am not directly contributing/supporting using animal by-products because they are second hand, the money I pay for these goods goes to charity and not to the leather/wool/silk industry. Guest guest Posted November 14, 2001 Report Share Posted November 14, 2001 I wouldn't get wool or silk because I have never bought them (wool-too itchy and silk-too expensive years ago) But occasionally I might get shoes or a belt As you say its recycling It helps the charity and would otherwise be thrown in the bin?
