Guest guest
I think it was someone on this list who suggested this book in response to another list member's question about low carbohydrate diets. I am now in the process of reading this book, and I have also looked through Diana Schwarzbein's vegetarian cookbook. Has anyone followed this program, for weight loss, and been successful? Is it possible to stay on it long term, without having to eat the same few things over and over again? Like most of the many " diet books " I've read, the author sounds knowledgable, and seems to even make some sense, but much of what Dr. Schwarzbein suggests seems to fly in the face of logic and what is commonly accepted as healthy eating. She suggests very little carbohydrate (it all turns into sugar eventually,) and says one should eat lots of fat and protein. Obviously getting all this protein is easier if one eats m**t, but she claims it can be done by vegetarians. I am only about halfway through the book at this point, and would appreciate any comments that others might have about the book and the program. Thanks.
