Guest guest Posted October 2, 2000 Report Share Posted October 2, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Braised Red Onions Recipe By :Patricia Wells Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : French Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 6 large red onions -- in their skins 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil 4 tablespoons water sea salt -- to taste pepper -- to taste Preheat the oven to 275 F ( 135 C, gas mark 2 ) Place the onions on a shallow baking sheet and drizzle with oil and water. Place in the center of the over and bake, basting every 15 " until soft ( about 2 hours )` To serve, remove the onion skins and either slice or leave the onions whole.
