Recipe request--Waffles

I am still waiting for my cookbooks to arrive and would like to make

waffles--something basic and easy, does anyone have a favorite recipe?

Here's one I made up. A bit high in fat but I don't make them all that often.

Waffles

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup white flour

2 tablespoons bran

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup butter -- melted

3 eggs

2 cups 1% low-fat milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

 

Mix together wet ingredients. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients. Pour

wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir. Pour

by 1/2 cup measures into waffle iron.
