Fresh Papaya Sauce

1 papaya -- peeled and seeded

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

dash grated nutmeg

dash ground cardamom

 

Dice half the papaya and set aside. Place the remaining half in a blender or

food processor and puree with the sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and

cardamom until smooth. Stir in the diced papaya, cover, and refrigerate for at

least 2 hours.

 

Description:

" Serve this sweet sauce with dessert crepes or spooned over sliced

strawberries. "
