Guest guest Posted August 29, 2000 Report Share Posted August 29, 2000 Here is a Veggie Chili recipe that I obtained from the Yves website. * Exported from MasterCook * #1 Veggie Chili Recipe By : Yves Veggie Cuisine (YVC) Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Vegetarian Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 package (YVC) Veggie Original Ground Round 2 tablespoons Canola oil OR olive oil OR safflower oil 1 large onion -- diced 1 red bell pepper -- diced OR greend bell pepper 1 large carrot -- diced 3 tins diced tomatoes EACH TIN - 14 ounces 2 tins red kidney beans -- drained EACH TIN - 19 ounces 2 tablespoons tomato paste 1 tablespoon dried chilies -- crushed 1 teaspoon chili powder 1 teaspoon cumin 1 tablespoon dried oregano 1 tablespoon dried basil salt and pepper -- to taste Heat oil in a large Dutch oven until hot and add onion, bell pepper and carrot. Sauté for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally until partially cooked. Add remaining ingredients except (YVC) Veggie Original Ground Round. Mix well. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Cook 1 hour. Add (YVC) Veggie Original Ground Round. Mix well. Turn off heat and let stand 5 minutes before serving.
