Guest guest Posted August 25, 2000 Report Share Posted August 25, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Tofu Creme Parfait Recipe By :Soyfoods Cookery - Louise Hagler Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- For the Tofu Creme: 1 10.5 oz package silken tofu 1/3 cup sweetener of choice 1 tablespoon unbleached flour 1 teaspoon vanilla For the Strawberry Filling: 1/2 pound strawberries 1/4 cup sweetener of choice 2 tablespoons cornstarch Tofu Creme: Blend the tofu, sweetener, and flour in a food processor or blender until smooth and creamy. Microwave Method: Cook 3 minutes on high, and whip. Stovetop Method: Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Pour the Tofu Creme evenly into 4 individual serving dishes. Strawberry Filling: Blend the strawberries, sweetener, and cornstarch in a food processor or blender until smooth. Microwave Method: Cook on high for 2 minutes, whip, cook on high 2 more minutes, and whip. Stovetop Method: Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thickened. Pour the Strawberry Filling evenly on top of the Tofu Creme. Chill until firm and serve topped with Creamy Tofu Topping. Variation: Substitute other berries or fruit in the Strawberry Filling.
