Guest guest Posted August 15, 2000 Report Share Posted August 15, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Miso-Tofu Soup Recipe By : Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 6 cups water 1 carrot -- cut in matchsticks 1 small onion -- cut in rounds 1/2 pound watercress -- coarsely chopped 1/2 cup sweet white miso 1/2 pound tofu -- cut in small cubes OR 1/2 package silken tofu -- cut in small cubes Bring the water to a boil, and add the carrot. Turn off the heat and add the onion, watercress, and tofu. Dip out 1/2 cup hot water from the pot, and mix with the miso. Continue stirring until the mixture is smooth, then pour it back into the soup pot, and stir. Do not boil. Serve immediately. 6 to 8 servings Description: " You can try different flavors of miso to vary the taste of this soup.
