Guest guest Posted August 11, 2000 Report Share Posted August 11, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Creamy Cilantro Tofu Recipe By :Soyfoods Cookery - Louise Hagler Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 large garlic clove 1 small jalapeno (optional) OR 1/8 teaspoon dried hot pepper 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves 1 10.5 oz package silken tofu OR 1/2 pound regular tofu + 6 tablespoons water 1 tablespoon lime juice 1/2 teaspoon salt Chop the garlic in a food processor, add the jalapeno, chop, add the cilantro leaves and chop. Remove from the food processor, and set aside. Add the tofu, lime juice, and salt to the processor, and process until smooth and creamy. Fold in the garlic, cilantro, and jalapeno. Serve chilled as a dip or condiment with Mexican food. Creamy Cumin Tofu: Substitute 1 teaspoon cumin powder for the cilantro. Description: " Serve this in place of sour cream for any Mexican entree or as an appetizer with chips or raw vegetables.
